Emory Unplugged is the preferred wireless service for the Emory community. It provides unlimited speed and encrypted traffic for the users authenticated with an Emory Network ID (ENID) from multiple locations across campus with no limits on what the user can access. The service is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS 10.3+, and mobile devices.
Instructions for setting up Emory Unplugged for Windows, Mac OS, and mobile devices can be found at AAIT's Configuration Instructions page.
Please refer to Student Technology Support if you need help with configuring wireless service on your laptop.
Guest Access to Wireless ServiceEmoryGuest access is provided for official guests of Emory University who have not been granted a Network ID and password for access to the Internet. Users must have an active wireless card that is set up to detect new networks and should select the EmoryGuest network from the list of the available networks.
Restrictions on EmoryGuest AccessThe EmoryGuest wireless network users are automatically logged off after 4 hours and do not have full bandwidth or privileges that extend to the EmoryUnplugged users. Also, they do not have access to some of Emory University's electronic resources, such as Library database subscriptions that are restricted to Emory University faculty, staff, and students.
